While there aren’t many things to miss about your 20s, it would be nice to have that glowing, youthful skin and hair back! Sadly, our bodies’ natural ability to replenish collagen decreases by 1.5% per year from our 20s onwards.  This results in a loss of skin elasticity and ultimately leads to the emergence of fine lines and wrinkles.

Thankfully Sproos is here to help! Our Skin & Hair blend is a synergistic combination of 6 active ingredients (wild-caught marine collagen, organic acerola (Vitamin C) hyaluronic acid, zinc, silica and biotin) designed to work meaningfully from within to improve the appearance of dull, aging skin and hair. The result? A powerful formula that delivers a unique blend of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and regenerative effects. We keep it simple: take one scoop or sachet daily with water, and wait for the glow!

Medicinal Ingredients

Collagen is an essential component for the maintenance of healthy skin and hair. The collagen derived from fish is type 1, which is the most abundant collagen in the body and is also the type found in the skin. As we age, our body loses its natural ability to replenish collagen, at a rate of about 1.5% per year. These less than optimal collagen levels, along with the changes in the collagen protein network, are connected to a whole host of negative effects in the area of skin elasticity and suppleness: like thinning, rigid skin, wrinkles, and a dull, dry appearance.

When we take hydrolyzed collagen, it’s absorbed in the small intestine, and then efficiently distributed throughout the body as collagen peptides and free amino acids. These peptides and amino acids provide the building blocks for the formation of new collagen and elastin fibers: it stimulates the production of new collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. These superstar ingredients are a dream team for your hair and skin.

We specifically chose marine collagen for our Skin & Hair blend as the science shows it to be the collagen type with the highest bioavailability and therefore the most effective type for skin health. And of course, we selected the highest quality fish available to provide the purest source for our marine collagen. Giving you more of what you need, and less of what you don’t.

    Non-Medicinal Ingredients

Camellia sinensis is a plant that produces green, black, or Oolong tea. The consumption of green tea has been associated with a range of benefits, including antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Many of the health-promoting effects of green tea have been mainly attributed to its polyphenol content, most of which are flavonols, also known as catechins; epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) is the most abundant catechin in green tea. It also tastes delicious and contributes to the subtle flavoring of our Skin & Hair blend.

  • Recommended purpose: helps to maintain healthy skin, hair and nails. Helps in connective tissue formation and provides a source of antioxidants.

Using Sproos: add one scoop or sachet per day to 12-16oz of cold water and shake or stir well until fully dissolved or add to your favourite smoothie.

Caution: do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have liver or kidney disease or if you have been instructed to follow a low protein diet, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. For the use of Zinc picolinate beyond 3 months, consult a health care practitioner. Collagen may cause mild gastrointestinal disturbances.
